Daytrip between Regional Victorian lockdowns in 2020. Really liked this place and need to go back. Right on the edge of the Lerderderg State Park and the Lerderderg river it was a great spot for a picnic and a short bushwalk.

Just one hour from Melbourne, not far from Daylesford and Ballarat, The Garden of St Erth is a stunning garden tucked away in a bushland setting close to the town of Blackwood. Blackwood was a gold rush town, and the gardens are home to an historic stone cottage. We visited on a summer weekday: the weather was warm and perfect for a cheese platter for lunch.
