About: Crown Reserves
Blackwood Crown Reserves Committee of Management Inc. has responsibility to manage, improve, maintain & control 7 sites in Blackwood. These are:
- Blackwood Cricket & Recreation Reserve - sport,public recreation, picnicking & toilet facilities;
- Blackwood Mechanics Institute Reserve - public hall & amenities & (registered but inactive) kindergarten;
- Blackwood Mineral Springs & Tourist Park - mineral springs, caravan park & camping, river walks, picnicking & toilet facilities;
- Blackwood Public Park & Recreation Reserve - includes Tennis Courts & the Old Bowling Green, bushwalking;
- Blackwood Swimming Pool Reserve including the Swimming Hole - recreation, conservation, observation, bushwalking & picnicking;
- Jack Cann Reserve - conservation, observation & bushwalking, and
- Povey’s Road Reserve - observation & bushwalking.

Blackwood Crown Reserves Committee Announcement:
We’re excited to announce that as we move forward, our committee is focusing on fostering greater connection and communication with our community. We’re a group of passionate volunteers who are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the beautiful spaces in Blackwood that we all cherish. Please note that many on the committee are new and are adjusting to the responsibilities of our roles as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and support as we learn and grow together in serving our community.

These reserves play a vital role in our community, providing spaces for sports, recreation, and conservation. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels informed and involved in the care and use of these special places.
